For most parents thinking that their children's 1st birthday is coming up in one short month would bring feelings of excitement and anticipation of how they will celebrate such an exciting milestone. But for me as a mother living in what feels like a world away, my emotions are bittersweet. I feel sad that I've already missed so many things in their lives. I feel helpless when I think about how much longer it will take for us to be able to raise the money to finish all the paperwork to bring them home. There are so many things that remind me of them and instantly make me cry.
I know Noah & Jackson are in a great place now and are being taken care of and I thank God everyday for all the people who have sacrificially given of themselves to take care of them for the past 11 months.
It gives me strength to know that ultimately they are God's children and are in the Father's hands. I know God will take care of them and protect them and He loves them more than I ever could.
God has taught our family so much already through our adoption. Although the journey is hard and painful for everyone involved, it so wonderfully displays the gospel and the sacrificial work that Christ did on our behalf to bring us into His family.
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have
not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's
Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, "Abba,
Father."For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's
children.
~Romans 8:14-16
(Below I've attached a video that reminds me of our adoption journey.)
Pou pifò paran panse ke 1ye anivèsè nesans pitit yo ap vini nan yon mwa kout ta pote santiman nan eksitasyon ak patisipe nan yon ki jan yo pral selebre tankou yon etap enpòtan enteresan. Men, pou m 'tankou yon manman k ap viv nan sa ki santi l tankou yon mond ale, emosyon mwen yo amèr . Mwen santi mwen tris ke mwen te deja rate anpil bagay nan lavi yo. Mwen santi mwen dekouraje lè m ' panse osijè de kòman pi lontan ankò li pral pran pou nou pou kapab ranmase lajan a fini tout dokiman an yo mennen yo lakay yo. Gen anpil bagay ki raple m ' nan yo ak imedyatman fè m' kriye.
Mwen konnen Noe & Jackson se nan yon kote gwo kounye a epi yo y ap pran swen nan ak mwen di Bondye mèsi chak jou pou tout pèp la ki te sacrificially bay nan tèt yo nan pran swen yo pou 11 mwa ki sot pase .
Li ban m ' fòs konnen ke finalman yo se pitit Bondye a , epi yo nan men Papa a. Mwen konnen Bondye ap pran swen yo epi pwoteje yo ak li renmen yo plis pase m ' tout tan tout tan t' kapab.
Bondye te anseye fanmi nou anpil deja nan adopsyon nou an.
Koulye a, nou rele l ' , " Abba ,
Papa . "Pou pouvwa Lespri li a kontre ak ak tout kè nou yo afime ke nou se Bondye a
timoun yo.
