We received news that our dossier has entered IBESR!!!! This is HUGE for us! After the laws in Haiti changed, we were unsure if our adoption was going to be able to be processed under the new law. But God is so good and He has continued to provide for us!

March 27th, 2014:
We were told there was a chance to get our dossier in to IBESR (Haitian Social Service). So at 3AM on March 27th, we drove our dossier to the airport in D.C. to meet a complete stranger who was flying to Haiti that day, in the hopes she could get our dossier to Haiti quickly. We never would have imagined on our wedding day 14 years ago, that this would be the way we would celebrate our anniversary. But God's plans are so much better than ours and we would not have had it any other way! There have been so many set backs but the Lord has been there to encourage us each time to continue to fight to bring Noah and Jackson home.

Late 2012:
Haiti changes adoption laws and is not accepting dossiers. This was definitely the hardest part of our adoption.

The Apparent Project Fundraiser
Adoption is only one step in the journey God has for our family. He has also placed a heart of compassion and love for the people of Haiti. Our family has a desire to not only bring hope to two children but many more who suffer in Haiti everyday. That is why this fundraiser has made our family so excited! We have a unique opportunity to help parent in Haiti be able to keep their children and raise money for our two precious boys at the same time.
We have been given the opportunity to partner with the Apparent Project to help raise money for our adoption. We received 150 bracelets from them and a portion of each bracelet sold goes back to the Haitian artisan who made them to help them provide for their children. Late December 2011:
We learned from friends who were adopting from Haiti that there were twin boys in need of a family. For years we had prayed about adoption and were always open to however the Lord would lead us. We fervently prayed to the Lord to show us if this was His will for us to pursue adopting Noah and Jackson. After much prayer and discussions with our girls, we truly felt that this was the path the Lord was guiding us down.
